How your baby's growing at 17 weeks

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

12 week appointment Tuesday 4/12/2011

I went for my appointment at about my 12 weeks. They used the doppler and heard the baby's heartbeat at 160bpm. Yay! Six more weeks to see the ultrasound and get a DVD if I remember to ask for one.

Feb 16th 2011

The day we found out I'm pregnant! Only 5 weeks along and have not told anyone. At 8 weeks we started spreading the news. Now at 11 weeks and waiting for the next doctor's appointment to see how things are going. Had little nausea a couple weeks ago but that was it.
Still debating whether to find out the gender. May 23rd is the appointment to find out if we want to.
